Created by Wessex Distillery, Gooseberry & Elderflower combines the zing of English Gooseberries with the light and floral notes of Elderflower, all of which are bottled in one of their striking trademark coloured bottles, with the label linking back to Anglo-Saxon England.

The gin is created with real cold-pressed gooseberries and distilled elderflower in their rotavate vacuum still. This process reduces the pressure and distils the elderflower at 27 degrees Celsius bringing a whole new flavour profile to the gin.

The gin has an amber appearance upon pouring, with the subtle aroma of soft juniper and elderflower. On tasting, sweet notes from both the elderflower and gooseberry come through. Tartness and sourness from the berries develop with the elderflower leaving a smooth and slightly velvety sweet finish, against a backdrop of classic juniper and herbs.

Wessex Gooseberry and Elderflower Gin uses fresh gooseberry juice and distilled with elderflower in a vacuum still.

This process enhances the flavours by using higher pressures at lower temperatures.

Complete with a high quality, smooth finish.

The gooseberry flavour is sweet yet zingy. Balanced with elderflower to create a bittersweet blend that does not overpower the sense.

Pair with Fever-Tree Elderflower Tonic Water and garnish with a sprig of mint and a lemon slice for the perfect serve.

The elegant green bottle would make a fantastic upcycling project for a lamp or outdoor garden light.
