Sir Edmond Gin claims to be the world’s first vanilla infused gin, and includes botanicals such as Juniper from Macedonia, Angelica Root from Greenland, Cardamom from Guatemala, Ginger from Nigeria and Cinnamon from China.

On paper the botanical blend may sound a little odd, but the beauty of this gin (and indeed nature) is that they go together rather beautifully. Vanilla is one of the most accepted flavour profiles in the world, and it’s use in this creation only makes you love it more.

On the nose the vanilla allure is powerful, but on the palate this is a far more balanced affair. Vanilla is the trademark botanical here so it’s very much present, but it’s not as dominant as the nose leads you to believe. Juniper is still in charge, accompanied by cardamom, along with beautiful ginger and cinnamon spice which blend with ease with the vanilla.
