Red Door Gin

Named after the distinct red doors of Benromach Distillery, Red Door Gin is inspired by Scotland’s mountains, forests and coastal fringes. It’s a vapour infused gin that delivers signature notes of juniper, combined with bitter orange, and aromatic sea buckthorn, heather and rowanberries. The distillery say the rowanberries add a cholate-like feel to this gin, and we certainly agree with this statement. To describe there’s a creamy sweetness here that adds something special, contrasted with floral, herbaceous and citrus notes that result in a full bodied creation. It’s intriguing, bright in parts thanks to the bitter citrus, and full of Scottish charm.

As a serve we garnished with raspberries (one of the recommendations) to play off the berry elements already in existence. Grapefruit is another option worth considering.
