Rare Bird London Dry Gin

Rare Bird London Dry has the most divine flavour profile. Including juniper, lemon, orange, cardamom, green peppercorns, rosemary and hibiscus flower, there’s a lot of love. On the nose there is the heady scent of bold juniper at the forefront, a gentle citrus sweetness follows leaving you intrigued to try!

To taste, it is all kind of wonderful, we absolutely love the aromatic piney juniper notes that greet you on that first sip. What follows is a medley of flavours with floral, citrus and herbaceous rosemary all taking their time to shine. The finish is long, aromatic with a touch of sweetness.

Pair with Fever-Tree Mediterranean Tonic and garnish with a slice of grape fruit or citrus fruit.

Description

The founders of Rare Bird Distillery in Malton, North Yorkshire are a small group of like-minded individuals with a passion for fine flavour and a love of Gin. Collectively, they have lived and holidayed in both the wine regions of Bordeaux France and the rolling Tuscan hills of Italy. These locations, apart from their beauty, seemed to have something very important in common; a discerning local community who have enormous pride in local produce, who demand high quality ingredients and appreciate the best flavours. This is what also shines through in Rare Bird Distillery…

The distillery itself is nestled in a Grade II listed, former stable block in the thriving market town of Malton, known as ‘the food capital’ of Yorkshire.’Florence’, is their 300 litre copper still, which they designed themselves. Her luminous dome shape, reminiscent of the Duomo, influenced her name. She sits proudly in the centre, right at the heart of the distillery, and is the means by which every single bottle of Rare Bird gin is crafted.
