McLean’s Strathaven Hedgerow Gin

Vendor: McLean's Gin

A “lockdown experiment”; the McLean’s challenged themselves to develop a gin with botanicals exclusively available from within their “daily exercise” radius. Strathaven Hedgerow is a fruit-forward (but far from fruit “flavoured”) London Dry Gin crafted with botanicals foraged exclusively from within 5 miles of the McLean’s home in Strathaven, South Lanarkshire. An immensely rich, piney, resinous nose gives way to sweet blackberries, spring flowers and earthy angelica on the palate, with chanterelle mushrooms adding just a hint of umami to the finish.

Strathaven Hedgerow is distilled in a traditional 100L direct-fired copper alembic pot-still, with every aspect of the production; from the collection of the botanicals to the application of tamper seals; carried out by the hand of Head Ginologist Colin McLean; a true “craft” spirit.

ABV: 43.1%
