Description

Helen Browning’s award winning Organic Gin with Pear and Sea Buckthorn

Organic Gin with Pear and Sea Buckthorn, from British Agroforestry, showcasing the taste and aroma of British wild flower meadows and orchards in a glass. The distinct flavour profile of sea buckthorn is sharp, sweet and sour dancing on your taste buds all at once. Combining with the citrus notes from the lemon and orange the sweet pear and elderflower then start to emerge with a delightful mellowness. The  result is a fresh honey finish with light herbal notes. A cocktail of flavours that linger for the discerning palate.

Serve with a slice of orange and sprig of fresh rosemary for a wonderfully aromatic experience. Or a slice of pear with ginger ale for a wonderful winter warmer.

Putting sustainability first, the bottle is made from recycled glass, a recyclable paper label and seal and finished with a soft wooden cork. Refillable pouches are available to refill your bottle with more organic gin. When empty just post the pouches back to Helen Browning’s who will then recycle or refill them. What a great idea!

The Farm

Helen Browning’s family has farmed at Eastbrook Farm for 67 years. They take pride in forward-thinking farming methods and pushing boundaries. It is a continual journey to improve and innovate ways to farm that are good for people, livestock, nature and the planet. One such innovation is the agroforestry. A pioneering combination of trees, plants, crops and grazing animals farmed together in order to build soil health. The result is a farm which is an oasis of wild birds, deer and vibrant insect populations. All thrive among the pollen and flowers of sea buckthorn, berries, nuts, and pear trees in the agroforestry and 50 miles of hedgerows.

Helen Browning says, “Our farm is at the heart of everything we do. Our agroforestry project is already making a positive impact on the soil on which we depend and the wildlife that live on the land. Now, excitingly, we can capture Eastbrook Farm in a bottle – and it’s delicious!”
