Love travel? Inspired by exotic flavours? Then let us introduce you to Far Reaches Gin which is a true embodiment of its name by uniting five different continents through its key botanicals.
13 botanicals form the Far Reaches recipe, 5 of which are central to it’s far reaching ‘travel inspired’ story, including Kumquats from Asia, Juniper from Europe, Quandong from Australia, Sarsaparilla from the Americas and Grains of Paradise from Africa.
On the nose, it’s a trademark London Dry with juniper, citrus and a hint of spice coming through. On the palate however the exotic botanicals really shine through and Far Reaches becomes a gin with its own identity. There’s a good dose of juniper here, but the use of Kumquats over orange, lemon or lime really enriches the experience and brings something new to the table. Quandong (also known as a native peach to Australians) adds a fruity sharpness, whilst sarsaparilla adds a bittersweet edge. Balance is provided with peppery spice courtesy of grains of paradise. There’s a beautiful texture to this gin as well that’s worth a mention, it has a light creaminess that fills the mouth in the most delightful way. Not to light and not to heavy, yet totally distinct. To finish peppery juniper and spice fades, to leave a citrus sweetness that leaves you craving more.

Far Reaches Gin is best served with a Fever-Tree Mediterranean Tonic and a garnish of Orange & Rosemary. Kumquats come highly recommended as well if you can get hold of them. Super refreshing, exotically charmed, and far reaching in both flavour and inspiration!
