This rum is from Guadelope, and speculation suggests it is specifically from the Damoiseau distillery located on the Bellevue au Moule estate.
This rum was distilled in March 1998 and was matured in Guadelope until 2007 when it was shipped the UK, it then matured until July 2019.
A fantastically tasty rum with lots of complex clove and spice character. A limited edition with only 220 bottles produced On the nose experience a sense of rum cake and even some “old school” whisky notes. Cloves and yacht varnish which become sweeter after some time. Spices continue to the palate with more cloves and a touch of cinammon. Then rubber and charred fruits. Finished with savoury caramel and spices again.
