INTRODUCING EXQUISITE CITRUS BY THREE WRENS GIN

VIP GIN CLUB NO.2

Three Wrens Bottle

To create Three Wrens Exquisite Citrus, Master Distiller Nick and his fabulous Assistant Fran, use fresh fruits which they then peel and de-hydrate themselves in house. They separately distil each of the dried citrus in their new 50 litre copper still – making a super small batch! Kumquat, Pomelo, Jara Lemon, Bergamot and Shikuwasa were all  distilled separately and then combined to create the punchy citrus flavour .

Finally Nick & Fran distil Italian juniper with a touch of Coriander, Orris and Angelica, then blend the distillate with the citrus. Distilling each element separately helped to achieve a real purity of flavour, and intensity, but also goes to show the graft that goes into craft due to the extra hours it takes to complete. The end result, we are sure you’ll agree, is suitable for a true Gin V.I.P.

Once the gin is ready, they bottle it and the whole team combined apply each label by hand, and seal the bottles with an orange wax giving you the Signature Three Wrens style in a Limited Edition Bottle.

MEET THE THREE WRENS TEAM!

Three Wrens are a boutique small batch distillery founded by Master Distiller Nick in August of 2019. Having had a career in the cocktail and spirit industry, it should come as no surprise that exciting world first flavour combinations are highlights of the Three Wrens Range, with gins including Apple Crumble, Raspberry Modena Cask, Bloody Apricot, Bison Grass & Key Lime Pie.

Embodying craft in every sense of the word, Three Wrens hand make their gins in a 50-litre copper pot named Valerie and at busier times have another copper still named Jill, which helps them deliver an extra 300 bottles a batch when needed. Jill also has a deep vapour basket which allows the team to infuse fresh herbs and florals that are delicate and difficult to capture.

Three Wrens have recently moved into a new distillery, which has been a year in the making and have fully converted an old cattle barn in rural Cheshire, a mile from the Shropshire border. This will allow them to expand their botanical gardens to grow even more ingredients for their gins, and ultimately have more production space. They have added a third still which is being used exclusively for distilling citrus, so perfect for this months Exquisite Citrus Gin, and are home to Cheshire’s largest Gin School with 18 Mini Stills and a ‘Wall of Distillates’.

We at The Gin To My Tonic are so excited to have Three Wrens take part in our 2nd  V.I.P Gin Club Box, and are so honoured to support them with this exclusive launch. We adore their ethos to include their consumer in the creative process, and how can you not love their exciting and rare flavours!

FEVER-TREE PARTNERSHIP

Fever-Tree began in 2003 with a meeting of minds and one simple premise: if three quarters of your G&T is the tonic, wouldn’t you want it to be the best?

It became apparent that Charles and Tim had both come to the same conclusion – namely that the growing prevalence and popularity of premium spirits had not been matched by what was on offer in the tonic category. From the very beginning, Charles and Tim approached their business in a different way – there would be no compromise at Fever-Tree. Flavour and quality were of the utmost importance. This mindset led them on an 18-month adventure from the archives of the British Library to facing the wrong end of a Kalashnikov in the Democratic Republic of Congo and concluded with the launch of our Premium Indian Tonic Water in 2005, with the belief we still operate by today.. If 3/4 of your drink is a mixer, mix with the best. As well as quality, Charles and Tim wanted to put the choice back into the category. The whole company has been built on innovation. Constantly developing new mixers, new flavours, new ideas, thus creating, an array of flavours to pair with the myriad of premium Gins, Vodkas, Whisky’s and Vermouths.
