Based on the Stunning Isle of Man, a world UNESCO biosphere at the heart of the British Isles, The Fynoderee Distillery is dedicated to the production (and enjoyment!) of premium spirits with genuine Manx roots that celebrate the Island’s unique culture and folklore.
The distillery, founded by local couple Paul and Tiffany Kerruish in 2017, produces a premium Gin range – Fynoderee Manx Dry Gin, Manx Bumbee Vodka as well as fermenting and distilling their own Rum range called Glashtyn. Most recently the distillery has evolved to producing Manx Malt Spirit which is being aged in barrels to become ‘grain to bottle’ Isle of Man Single Malt Whiskey when fully mature.
The Distillery is based in the northern town of Ramsey at the end of the original Victorian “Manx Electric Railway”, a tram service that commences in the Island’s capital, Douglas in the east, travelling through epic scenery all along the Island’s rugged coastline. There’s no better way to arrive at the distillery for one of the scheduled Distillery Tours or to call in for a cocktail at the legendary “Fyn Bar & Shop” – open late every Friday and Saturday evening and during the day at selected hours (see website)
The Distillery Tour offers an overall insight into the fascinating production of its entire range of spirits. Enjoy a “Fyn & Tonic” on arrival and discover the story of the horned beast that inspires the distillery’s name, learn about the “Fairies’ Share” and meet “Hugin & Munin” the distillery’s “unique in Europe” dual copper pot still system.
