AboutSacred Spirits
Founded in 2008, independent and family-run, Sacred Spirits is a pioneer of the recent gin renaissance – and devised the original Make Your Own Gin event, back in 2009!
Sacred was also the first spirits brand to use vacuum distillation, a technique that uses less than 10% of the energy than a traditional pot still. This process is key to creating the fresh, smooth spirits for which Sacred is renowned.
For over ten years Sacred was based in the founders’ home but in 2020 the distillery moved into a beautiful new location based in an early Victorian building on Highgate High Street where it continues to produce its award-winning spirits and hosts two events each month. During a Distillery Visit, guests will enjoy a G&T as they listen to a short history of gin and a demonstration of Sacred’s unique distillation method, followed by a tutored tasting of eight of Sacred’s award-winning spirits.
Make Your Own Gin is a fantastic opportunity to create a bottle of bespoke gin with the guidance of an award-winning distiller whilst sipping a couple of delicious cocktails. The bottle shop is open after both events for guests to purchase favourite Sacred items at a special price.
Both experiences offer a fantastic opportunity to learn more about this truly trailblazing and highly sustainable distillery – and they are also great fun and ideal for small groups!
