Launched in 2019 and named Scottish Gin Distillery of the Year in 2022, North Uist Distillery is a vibrant family run business with island heritage at its heart and soul.
With the dream of bringing gin and whisky production to their island home, Kate and Jonny hit the market with Hebridean heather infused, Downpour Scottish Dry Gin. With twice the botanicals of an average gin, including locally foraged and bartered ingredients, Downpour is a big bold taste of island life that has earned both a cult following and an impressive collection of awards and medals.
Over the last four years the range has expanded to include three more flavours of Downpour Gin; Sloe and Bramble, Pink Grapefruit, and seaweed and wild thyme infused Coast and Croft.
