With a long-standing farming heritage, Emma, founder and distiller at Meadow Oak Distillery continues her ancestral passions of a harmonious balance between agriculture and biodiversity. She established the Distillery as a way of diversifying and securing the future of the family farm in Little Canfield.
With core foundations built on love and respect for British Flora and Fauna, the distillery team have shared values and all champion nature, environment and the British Countryside. Their award-winning gin ‘Heartwood of Oak Moor Meadow’ is inspired by the landscape of the family farm and encapsulates the true Spirit of the Countryside!
This micro distillery, based in the small rural village of Stebbing in Essex, regularly opens its doors for distillery tours and tastings, gin school experiences and private functions as well as bringing the community together with open days and maker’s markets. They also operate a mobile bar via their Vintage Caravan Conversion ‘Hilda’, who is not only seen as a bar, but often accompanies the team at other events & markets.
Implementing Organic farming practices and agroforestry schemes will enable the distillery to become fully grain to glass, whilst also striving for carbon neutral status and certified organic products.
In the future the Distillery will be relocated to the Farm and a broad selection of immersive Distillery-Nature experiences will be available, all supporting the key goal of Meadow Oak Distillery to reconnect people with Nature and the Environment.
