AboutCrossbill Distilling
At Crossbill, pride is taken in there craft using only the very best of fantastic Scottish botanicals, including the wild juniper that is handpicked in the Highlands of Scotland. Everything used is fresh, Scottish and seasonal.
Back in 2012, Crossbill set out to create the first gin to be made with 100% Scottish Botanicals. After a year of development, Crossbill launched its first gin in 2013, making them one of the oldest craft gin producers in Scotland.
Originally based in the Cairngorms, the distillery moved its base into Glasgow’s East End to the world-famous Barras Market, where they continue to produce the same fantastic gin using the same wild highland juniper. The new location gave the distillery the opportunity to set up their Gin School with tasting rooms and open the distillery to visitors.
Crossbill are a small team with a hands-on approach to creating gins that allows them to refine the taste and flavours that you enjoy so much. They do not distil for other companies, focusing all of their attention and gin-making skills on Crossbill expressions.
The distillery is open to the public, and you are invited you to join them for one of their Gin School Experiences. The knowledgeable and passionate staff will guide you through the facility, where you can see first-hand how the award-winning spirits are created using traditional techniques combined with modern technology.
