Get to know Crafty Distillery in this 5 minute interview! Based in Dumfries & Galloway, Craft Distillery is reigning Scottish Gin Distillery of The Year.

Flagship creation, Hills and Harbour, is distilled with local Noble Fir needles and Bladderwrack Seaweed, it leads with juniper and is balanced with hints of forest fir, tropical fruit, citrus spice, tangy sherbet and a subtle scent of the shore.

One of the rare gins in Scotland to be distilled with their own base spirit, they take local wheat and water combine in their 7 day fermentation process to create maximum character and mouth feel. This process takes more time, energy, cost and know-how, but delivering a gin that lives up to the true meaning of ‘craft’ is essential to them.

It’s nothing short of impressive what Crafty have achieved, not only have they brought a superb gin to market, but they’ve also turned their distillery into a successful visitor attraction as well. It’s a personal favourite at The Gin To My Tonic HQ for a number of reasons, one of which is that it’s always great to see real people achieve great things through hard-work.

Situated in the picturesque countryside and overlooking the coastal peninsula of Western Lancashire resides one of the most unique and diverse distilleries in the region. Black Powder offers an extensive range of exciting products, all meticulously handmade in traditional copper pot stills.

Along with gins judged to be some of the finest in the world, they also produce exquisite liqueurs, rums, whiskey, port and over 40 delicious and entirely natural fruit gins to tantalise your taste-buds. Their meticulous distillation methods and long infusion process ensures all our concoctions are literally bursting with genuine spirit – absolutely no artificial flavours, colourings or preservatives are used, just amazing quality ingredients grown on our own orchards or sourced direct from the very best producers from all over the world!

Can you believe we are already in month number seven of 2021? So far, we’ve featured over 30 different gins since the start of the year as part of our virtual gin-ventures, and we are about to add five more fantastic creations to this list.

As always, we are keen to showcase diversity and ingenuity, and that’s never been more evident than with July’s line-up. Inverroche will be joining us from South Africa, we’ll be tucking into an award-winning Navy Strength courtesy of Lucky Bee, and there’s more bang for your buck with a 10cl bottle of Vara Orkney Craft Pink Gin (as opposed to the usual 5cl). We’ll also be celebrating the traditional with Greensand Ridge and Biggar, both of whom produce superb liquid in their own unique ways.

It’s always been important to us to champion craft distillers and gin creators, so when the opportunity came along for us to exclusively launch two new products on behalf of Eduardo and Ana at Sámara Gin we just couldn’t resist…

From soft, sandy beaches, to soaring volcanoes and tropical rainforest, Costa Rica has incredible diversity and beauty in its landscapes, plants and flowers. This botanical diversity also translates beautifully into gin.

Creating an amazing Gin & Tonic is now an art form in itself, from pairing your gin with the perfect mixer, to selecting the appropriate garnish that will amplify those existing flavours. This is why The Gin To My Tonic are proud to be partnering with The Ice Co and Super Cubes.

As an official 2021 partner, all our events will be stocked with The Ice Co’s Super Cubes in order to help create a superior Gin & Tonic. These beautiful formed ice cubes keep your G&T super cold, and as the cubes are made from natural spring water and extremely slow to melt. It means the natural flavours and fizz of your G&T are enhanced rather than diluted.

It’s these extra touches that make The Gin To My Tonic Shows & Festivals truly special, and we are proud to have The Ice Co as part of ‘The Gin To My Tonic’ family.

We are back with another “Virtual” G&T Tasting extravaganza! This time, for the first time ever, we will be hosting LIVE from one of our own actual events; The Gin To My Tonic Show in Liverpool. This one is not one to be missed!

Join us for a wonderful celebration of Gin, as we welcome the creators, makers and champions of 6 O’clock Mango Ginger & Lime and 6 O’clock Sloe, Poetic License Northern Dry, Hills & Harbour Gin and Gyre & Gimble Callooh Callay.

Each distillery will open their doors LIVE and share their story to date, tasting notes, and perfect serves, entwined with distillery tours, gin making, cocktail making and fascinating gin trivia to enrich your own personal gin journeys.

Whether you are a ‘Gin To My Tonic’ returnee, or this is your first time joining us, we promise to look after you….

If you love all things tropical, zesty and damn right delicious then the latest edition to our Festival Collection is a must try. Orange & Passionfruit Gin is a subtle orange in colour, and combines zesty Orange with the tropical delights of Passionfruit.

The Gin To My Tonic are back with our 4th Virtual Gin Festival of 2021.

In April, we are delighted to be joined by the creators, makers & champions of 1881 Gin, Ditchling Gin, HMS Spirits, Holy Island Gin & Ramsbury Single Estate Gin.

This month we are celebrating the traditional, whilst giving you a nod to Summer with a couple of fabulous coastal inspired creations, all guaranteed to excite your palate.

Whitby Gin Review. Founded by Jess and Luke in a utility room no less, Whitby Gin is the result of a camping trip to the Outer Hebrides the duo embarked on three years ago. Inspired by the islands’ artisan gin-makers, the pair returned from their trip with a souvenir in the form of a business plan. Little did they know back then, but they would soon be swapping their desks for days in the distillery and trading the daily commute for foraging in the open air.

It is undeniable that spirits and Whitby go hand in hand… it has always been a town of smugglers, adventurers and skilled craftspeople, held on one side by the wildness of the sea and on the other, by rugged, beautiful moorland. Spirits have long been a part of this town’s story where whisky, rum and gin were often smuggled ashore during the 18th Century before being sweetened and flavoured by the locals. You might say that Jess and Luke are simply picking up with where they left off, with the same passion and spirit of adventure, but a little less law-breaking!

Today the Whitby Gin range today consists of three delectable tipples: Original Edition, Bramble & Bay and Wild Old Tom.

Transport yourself to the sun soaked terraces of Provence as the team behind Britain’s most loved Rosé bring you their newest creation – Mirabeau Rosé Gin.

Mirabeau Rose Gin is crafted in a traditional Copper Still and includes botanicals such as Juniper, Coriander, Orris and Angelica Roots, Lemon Peel and Zest, Rose Petals, Rosemary, Thyme, Lavender, Jasmine Tea and Bay Leaves. 24 hour maceration of 7 core botanicals in grape based neutral spirit, Côtes de Provence Rosé, recovered grape spirit from Forever Summer Cuvée, and 5 more delicate botanicals in a suspended basket are added. Distillation lasts over six hours. The distillate is then diluted to the finished 43%.

Pair Mirabeau Rosé Gin with Fever Tree Aromatic Tonic and garnished with a sprig of Rosemary.
